This book club is for anyone who identifies as neurodivergent and/or anyone who is on a path to improving their relationship with neurodivergent friends, family or colleagues.
This book focuses on the experiences of neurodivergent people who appear “high functioning” (according to a neurotypical worldview) while experiencing inner stress and interpersonal stress from masking. We will meet over 3 weeks and discussion will be organized around the following topics:
Understanding Autism: Debunking Myths (Wednesday May 8)
Understanding Masking and the Process of Unmasking (Wednesday May 15)
Cultivating Cultural Acceptance of a Neurodiverse World
The next book will be Unmasking Autism: Discovering the New Faces of Neurodiversity by Devon Price, PhD
